Contiki! This Way to Amazing!

For those of you who are not familiar with Contiki, you should be!

Contiki is an amazing travel company founded by New Zealander John Anderson. They offer tours all over the globe and cater towards the travel hungry 18-35ers.

Very popular with the Aussies, their tours are starting to gain popularity here in Canada. With destinations like South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, what's not to love!

I was recently lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to Europe and be one of the talent for an amazing promotion they have just started running called "This Way to Amazing"

If you’re feeling lucky you should check it out!

This Way to Amazing!

The interactive contest runs for the next month and all you need to do is find us! You need to find my friend Christian this week!

I can't tell you much more about where we went or what we did because it's a secret! But if you can find us you could go see these amazing places for yourself!

Good Luck!

And we're off!

My name is Autumn and I'm a Canadian girl addicted to globe-trotting.

There is nothing I love more than jumping on a plane and jet setting.

Growing up I was very fortunate and my parents tried to take me as many places as they could. We spent summers camping in the Rockies, surprise trips to Disneyland and Mexico, as well as cross country road trips around Canada to visit family.

My addiction hit hard when I was in my last year of high school. My favorite teacher ran the travel club and I had tossed the idea of jumping on one of his trips for 3 years. His destination for that year was Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The city had always seemed cool to me so I signed up and started saving every penny I could from my job at the local ski hill.

7 months later and we were off! After 36 hours in transit the travel club spent 7 jam packed days in the city. We went to see Cristo Redentor and Sugar Loaf Mountain, hiked through the Tijuca Forest and went to a local soccer game. On our free day we spent some time on the famous beaches in Rio and baked in the hot sun. I was hooked. I loved throwing myself into the sights, sounds and smells of someplace new.

The day we got home I started plotting my next escape and to my parents fear I didn't go to university the next year. I took some time off and hit the road!

Since Brazil, I have backpacked through Europe, jumped on the train across the Trans-Mongolian railway, couch-surfed in China and drank vodka in Russia. I've spent spring break in Cancun and gambled in Las Vegas and WON! I have spent uncounted hours cruising through the airline websites trying to find the perfect deal and ultimately spent far too much money on my addiction.

So it only makes sense that I dedicate a blog to my love of travel, the world and wanderlust.

Here goes nothing!
